Daigle's Cajun Sweet Pecan Garlic Sauce

Years ago,  Gayle Daigle created her own Sweet and Sour BBQ sauce and used it on many of their favorite oven-baked meat dishes. Then their two sons Toby and Ted came along. As they grew, their sauce became the highlight of every meal. Gayle then decided to baste the sweet and sour sauce on dishes, such as chicken breast, pork fingers, leg quarters, pork chops, and chicken tenders. Those growing boys always wanted extra sauce on the side for dipping. Time after time she made extra sauce and stored it in the refrigerator, just enough to share it with family, friends, and co-workers. Adding the sauce to chicken and pork fingers soon became a big hit at many Christmas parties for Doctor's Hospital, the famous Daigle Christmas Eve party, and also at the Trahan’s Christmas party.  Her  family and friends always wanted Gayle to bottle this great sauce. Daigle Family Co. came alive soon after and since won several BBQ and Hot Sauce awards!

Hanley's Strawberry Vinaigrette

So we know this doesn't contain Pecans... but we think this vinaigrette pairs perfectly with pecans either in a salad, cream cheese, and so much more!

The Hanley's created this dressing the same year that the company started, it actually came from a readers voting on a  blog post when Richard Hanley had a flat of strawberries from working at the farmer’s market.

Hanley's always uses fresh, real ingredients. They even use locally sourced cane syrup to sweeten their vinaigrette. They actually use Three Brothers Farms Cane Syrup that was featured in our December Cajun Crate!

Kim and Cindy are sisters who ventured into making pepper jellies started nine years ago with the passing down of their great-grandparents' small farmhouse and enough rich farmland to grow their lush, vibrant gardens. Bulldog Pepper Jelly is located in Lone Pine, LA, which happens to be near Forest Hill, LA, "The Nursery Capital of the World." Their fresh (pesticide-free) vegetables are grown naturally, year-round. They have dedicated two special gardens for the growing of the pepper plants. We especially raise Jalapeño, Habanero, and Serrano for our assorted jellies. Their pecans are harvested from their hundred-year-old Pecan trees. Having two French Bulldogs, Jolie Blanc (Jo Jo) and Rocco, running the farm gave them an idea for the perfect name....BULLDOG PEPPER JELLY "The jelly with a BITE!!!"
We want our jellies to reflect the love of our land and the work of our hands bringing you a heartwarming quality pepper jelly. We are blessed to do what we love, every day. We strive to grow our business with the same honesty and integrity we used to craft our jellies with sustainability and consistently great taste for all. As our business grows, we source our local and organic ingredients from farmers we know and partners we trust, supporting our communities and creating meaningful relationships with those around us. This is where our passion and purpose come together.

Did you know that pecans are higher in natural antioxidants than any other nut. Pecans also promotes digestive and heart health, contributes to cholesterol lowering benefits, disease prevention, anti-inflammatory, and plays a role in protecting the nervous system.

Five years ago, Mark Guidry began dreaming of owning an all organic farming operation distributing locally grown produce. His wife, Connie stumbled upon a beautiful orchard eight miles north of their home in Lafayette, Louisiana and there began Guidry Organic Farms. Guidry Organic Farms strives to bring the highest quality naturally grown pecans and cold pressed, organic pecan oil. Their products are grown in the purest and most natural state using no chemicals, pesticides, or commercial fertilizers.

You can add pecan butter to anything! Add it to pancakes or toast in the morning or even add it to a smoothie complete with strawberries and blueberries!
