The “King Cake” takes its name from the biblical three kings. Epiphany, commonly known as Three Kings’ Day in the United States, is on January 6. It celebrates the three wise men’s visit to baby Jesus and also remembers his baptism, according to the Christian Bible’s events. It is customary to bake King Cakes during this time of the year. The season for King Cake extends from “Twelfth Night”, up until “Fat Tuesday”.
So . . . celebrate this Mardi Gras season in the comfort of your own home with Acadian Coffee Roasters King Cake coffee and “Laissez le Bon Temps Rouler” (Let the good times roll).
